When I click “generate”, Polinode generates a separate network for each question. Is it possible to combine all of the questions into a single network?
Yes, it sure is! Under Add-Ons for Enterprise and Partner customers there is a feature called “Combine Networks”, and it is designed precisely for this purpose. You can read a bit more about this feature in this blog post:
Five New Features - Including an integration with Office365
Basically it allows you to select any set of networks in your account that you have edit permission for and to combine them into a single network that you then give a new name. You can use it for networks that you have generated from a particular survey or uploaded networks.
If you are not an Enterprise or Partner account it is still possible to combine networks together, you just need to do it manually. The easiest way to do that it to take the Excel export for the survey and combine the edges so that each edge appears only once, and then to include indicator attributes on those edges. So, if the relationship exists for Knowledge, you would have a “yes” in the Knowledge column. If it doesn’t exist for Energy, you would have a “no” in the Energy column.
Makes sense, thanks. Right now I am on the Professional plan which explains why I didn’t see that. I will try the export + combine method!
