Adding Images to Initial email

When sending the initial email with the survey link, is it possible to add images. We would like to add two images one as a header and another as a signature.

I have tried using markdown however I cannot get it to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Emails sent from Polinode are plain text emails rather than HTML. This is partly for deliverability. Markdown is not supported in emails.

To add images to emails you would need to run your own mail merge, i.e. export the respondent list and run a mail merge using the firstName and Unique URL columns in the exported list.

Please do feel free to add HTML emails as a feature request here: https://newcommunity.polinode.com/c/feature-requests. That way others can also upvote / comment on it.

Although you can’t add images to emails, you can use markdown to add images on the welcome page (i.e. the page that users first when they click the link) and/or at the top of each page of the survey (try a descriptive text question with an image via markdown) and/or on the thank you page.

When you do a mail merge, would it still be possible for the email come from Polinode?

Thank you.

No, I’m afraid that is technically not possible. Polinode can do the mail merge for you with text emails or, alternatively, you can run your own mail merge but in that case the emails would come from your email address.
