Where the respondent doesn’t have an email address, please use emails in the form of “example.email+1@polinode.com”, “example.email+2@polinode.com”, etc. as the email addresses. Basically use a dummy email address in this form. The reason why this form is best is because there won’t be an attempt to send out emails that contain “example.email” in them and you need the +1, +2, etc. to ensure that each email is unique. In terms of then distributing the links to people without emails there are three options:
- You can simply export the respondent list and will find the unique links there and can text those links or otherwise share them with the individuals;
- You can have an admin user go around and use Manage → Responses to enter the responses on behalf of the users, i.e. sitting with them.
- You can use the advanced single link functionality - see here for an explanation: Single Link Option and Email Bypass - #2 by apitts. Often this is setup with employeeID as the verifying information and you can then setup a terminal or two where respondents can go to a single link and enter their name and employeeID to take the survey. It’s possible to use a mixed approach in this way where you send emails to everyone that has emails and use terminals with the single link option for everyone that does not.
